Need a book recomendation? Review? I've got it.

The Kite Runner:

Is a beautiful, very touching book. I have not seen the movie but I 100% recommend reading the novel. The book is about friendship, mistakes, regret, and inner journeys to find peace. The book is written by Khaled Hosseini and if your looking for a good read that will stay with you long after you finish the book you should defianatly read The Kite Runner.

The Shack:

The Shack is a very deep book about religious journeys and getting over the loss of someone important in your life. The Shack is a really strong work of fiction that is haunting and touching at the same time. The author has done a superb job at painting a picture in the readers mind and the subject matter is one that is not often explored in works of fiction. If your are looking for a book with deeper meaning and love you should read The Shack written by William Young.

Tuck Everlasting:

Tuck Everlasting is not a difficult read and it is a short book but the story of the book is beautiful and touching and has a very deep meaning to it. The book is all about life and choices and around the question of "If you can live forever are you ever really living at all?" Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit is one of my very favorite books and another book that will stay with you long after you finish. The movie is equally amazing and I highly recommend hearing the story whether in the form of book, movie or both.

The Card Turner

Is a great read that follows a 17 year old boy in his "Bridge Journey". I don't know how to play bridge but I did learn alot and I also really enjoyed the book. In between the book the author will warn you and then start to explain the rules of bridge with a small conclusion of what was just explained so if you are bored by the rules you can just read the conclusion and contiue with the story. It is a great story about friendship and realationships with family and friends. The Card Turner is written by Louis Sachar.

Sweetgrass

Sweetgrass is a beautiful coming of age story that I read in school 3 years ago by Jan Hudson. It is about a 15 year old first nations girl and about growing up. The book has deep meaning and a beautiful ending.

The Giver

This book is amazing. It focuses on the questions of right and wrong and what our society is and what it could become. The book is set in a future society where everything is controlled to every minor detail. If you are wanting to read a touching story with brilliant story telling I recommend The Giver!
